The Aliquippa-to-Pitt pipeline continued today when Quips defensive lineman Juantez Hollins made a verbal commitment to the Panthers.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Hollins is a three-year starter for the Quips. He is projected as an interior lineman in college, and is ranked the nation’s No. 32 defensive tackle prospect by Scout.com and the No. 58 offensive guard prospect by Rivals.com.
Hollins is the latest in a long line of Aliquippa players to pick Pitt, including incoming All-America receiver Jonathan Baldwin. Hollins chose the Panthers over scholarship offers from Akron, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Marshall.
