Lee earns Big East honors

Pitt kicker Conor Lee was named Big East special teams player of the week for his performance in the Panthers’ 34-24 victory over Syracuse Saturday.

Lee tied a school record with four field goals and scored 14 points, the most by a Big East kicker this season. He converted field goals of 40, 43, 44 and 25 yards and extended his streak of consecutive successful point-after kicks to 85.

It is the second consecutive week a Pitt player earned Big East specialist of the week honors, as punter Dave Brytus drew them for his performance against Iowa.
