Pitt-Notre Dame headed into OT


SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Pitt-Notre Dame game, tied at 24-24 at the end of regulation, is headed into overtime.

Notre Dame took a 24-17 lead with 5:38 remaining on a 6-yard pass from Jimmy Clausen to Golden Tate, but the visiting Panthers answered with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Pat Bostick to Jonathan Baldwin to tie it with 2:22 left.

Pitt forced a turnover on downs, but Bostick’s pass intended for Baldwin was intercepted by free safety David Bruton at the Irish 27 with 32 seconds left.

Notre Dame led, 17-3, at halftime.
