Pitt starts Bostick at QB

November 1st, 2008

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Sophomore Pat Bostick will start at quarterback for Pitt against Notre Dame today, replacing the injured Bill Stull.

Stull left the Rutgers game last Saturday on a stretcher, after suffering a concussion and stinger in the third quarter.

It marks Bostick’s first start of the season, the ninth of his career and his first since Pitt beat West Virginia, 13-9, in the 100th Backyard Brawl last Dec. 1 in Morgantown. Bostick completed 6 of 11 passes for 69 yards with an interception against Rutgers.
