Pitt sophomore receiver Jonathan Baldwin faces misdemeanor charges of indecent assault and summary offenses for harassment and disorderly conduct after an April 19 incident involving a female student.
A May 27 preliminary hearing is scheduled for Baldwin, an Aliquippa graduate who led the team with 22.4 yards per reception last season.
Pitt football coach Dave Wannstedt was not available for comment on the matter, and Pitt associate athletic director for media relations E.J. Borghetti released the following statement: “The matter is currently under investigation and until that investigation reaches a conclusion we will decline comment.”
