Lost and found

April 30th, 2010

Montreal’s leading goal-scorer in the playoffs, Mike Cammalleri, is a lot better at finding the net than the team bus.
An hour after the Canadiens’ morning skate concluded, Cammalleri stood in front of the media work area with a dumbfounded look on his face.
“I haven’t been to this arena many times,” he told sports reporter Josh Yohe of the McKeesport Daily News. “I was hoping someone could help me find the team bus.”
So Yohe lent assistance to help the sniper find his way.
“I can’t believe anyone can get around this building without getting lost,” Cammalleri said of the bowels of 49-year-old Mellon Arena. “Maybe the new place (Consol Energy Center) will be easier to get around.”
Cammalleri found the net in the second period, taking a Scott Gomez pass from behind the backstop in the slot and shooting it past Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury to cut the Canadiens deficit to 3-2 at 15:27.
