Ike not asking for safety help on A.J. Green

By Mark Kaboly | Tribune-Review

Steelers maligned cornerback Ike Taylor isn’t lacking confidence, that’s for sure.

Taylor said that he will follow Cincinnati star receiver A.J. Green all over the field Sunday night despite Taylor’s recent troubles covering anybody let alone what he calls a top three receiver in the league.

“Probably so,” Taylor said about following around Green. “That’s the challenge that I look up to. That’s the challenge I want every week regardless of who we play.”

But surely Taylor will get safety help from either Ryan Clark or Will Allen, right?

“I haven’t been asking for it,” Taylor said. “I am not looking for it. I am just going to hold my end.”

Taylor allowed six catches for 87 yards and touchdown to Green during last year’s game at Heinz Field. It was the most catches and yards he gave up during the regular season to a single receiver.
