October 24th, 2012

Mark Kaboly | Tribune-Review

I was able to grab Maurkice Pouncey one-on-on for a few minutes today. Here’s what he said including that he will play against the Redskins Sunday at Heinz Field:

Q: HOW GOOD OF A GAME DID WILLIE COLON HAVE?
A: “He played awesome. He kind of set the bar, set the tempo and he was out there with great energy. I am really proud of him.

Q: HE WAS PRETTY VIOLENT TOO?
A: “You seen it man, that was pretty crazy.”

Q: WHAT WAS IT LIKE IN THE FILM ROOM WATCHING IT
A: “We had a good day on Monday. A lot of the guys – all of the guys – balled out and knocking guys to the ground and running around having a good time. It was fun.”

Q: HOW DID LEGURSKY DO REPLACING YOU?
A: “He played great. He played at a very high level. He also does. Doug is a great football player.”

Q: WHOSE CALL WAS IT FOR YOU TO SIT?
A: “Me and my offensive line coach. It didn’t feel all the way right on Friday with the drills we went through so we just kind of just chilled out.”

Q: ARE YOU PLAYING THIS WEEK?
A: “I am pretty sure … I am playing. Most definitely.”

Q: HOW HARD WAS IT TO SIT
A: “I hate that (expletive). That (expletive) is terrible. That’s the worst feeling ever.”
