What’s 7,400 slices, thinner than a human hair and free? The new atlas of the human brain. It’s hoped that the microscopic detail will provide researchers help in understanding Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other conditions, ScienceNow reported on Thursday.

“This data set will revolutionize our ability to understand internal brain organization,” Dr. Alan Evans, the study’s senior author and a professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute at McGill University, told Time.
