Now there’s a war on Halloween

frownSome schools in Pennsylvania are haunted this year by political correctness,  writes in Time magazine, calling it a war on Halloween.

“We are a society that is so scared of its own shadow that we can’t even enjoy ourselves anymore,” Gillespie laments.

Party-poopers at Sporting Hill Elementary School in Mechanicsburg and Inglewood Elementary in Montgomery County have recently canceled the candy and costumes. Reasons cited are safety, peanut allergies (no joke), and, yes, the separation of church and state.

Inglewood Elementary School principal Orlando Taylor said holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving are viewed by some to have “religious overtones,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
