Santa’s little helpers arrived in Port Clinton, Ohio, early this year for a boy dying of cancer.

The town, on Lake Erie about 45 minutes east of Toledo, put up Christmas decorations and sang carols this week for Devin Kohlman, a 13-year-old whose chemotherapy has been unable to conquer an aggressive brain tumor. Doctors say he has only weeks to live.
“We want Devin to have the best Christmas that he’s ever had,” Alexis Kohlman, Devin’s mother, tells WTOL. “And we want to make sure that he has Christmas.”
So the community — “seriously everyone” – came together to make the town into a winter wonderland and pray.

Inside their apartment, Devin’s family members have turned his hospital bed toward the window so he can enjoy the Christmas lights put up in his honor.
