A Grand finale for homeless guy who turned down $100


When a young software programmer offered a guy living on the streets of New York a choice this summer — 100 bucks or a Chromebook and lessons in how to code — lots of people scoffed.

But Leo Grand has just released his first app, Trees for Cars, which helps users carpool.

Patrick McConlogue, the programmer, and Leo have been tracing their “real life story about the quest for education” on Facebook.
